DIN ISO 11799 defines requirements for the storage of archive and library materials in order to ensure their long-term preservation and use. To fulfill this purpose, this standard describes the necessary conditions for the creation, processing, storage, archiving and deletion of documents. DIN ISO 50001 defines requirements for an energy management system (EMS) to help companies and organizations reduce their energy consumption and increase their energy efficiency. The implementation of an EMS in accordance with this standard enables us at Rhenus Archiv Services to reduce our expenses and to lower our carbon footprint. The standard specifies a systematic approach for the identification of potential savings and the implementation of energy efficiency measures. We are proud that our compliance with this standard was confirmed in 2018 by our DIN EN ISO 50001 certification.
